In the past, the responsibility of the bodies of Liechtenstein legal entities and in particular of the company limited by shares (stock corporation), has only been dealt with very sporadically in Liechtenstein literature. While several decisions by the supreme court in the last decade demonstrate the increased practical importance, this is not yet sufficiently reflected in the literature.

This work is intended to make a contribution to the academic debate on the responsibility of management and supervisory bodies in the Liechtenstein company limited by shares as well as the European Societas Europaea.

In addition, the present work offers an introduction to Liechtenstein company law, which is addressed to readers – primarily from foreign jurisdictions – who are not yet as well-versed in Liechtenstein corporate law.
